By combining high-quality academic instruction with religious faith and values, SVA prepares today’s young women for the immense challenges of tomorrow’s world. It encourages these young women to use their individual gifts from God to build a better life for themselves and for their community. Our academic program is rigorous; our standards are high, and our students are challenged to excel in all of their endeavors. Our college preparatory requirements include:
4 1/2 years of English
4 years of religious studies, physical education and health
3 1/2 years of math
3 years of social studies
2 years of foreign language
2 years of lab science
1 year of keyboarding/word processing
Introductory courses in art, computer technology, web design, geography, music and dance, study skills and career exploration as well as a broad array of elective courses round out the curriculum and recognize the individual interests and talents of our 300 young women.
Also available are options for 5 years of math and 4 years of science, both of which are pursued by many students.
