A Hot Stock Market Tip .....
For our friends with highly appreciated securities that you are reluctant to sell because of capital gains consequences, we have a solution. Consider a donation to SVA. The benefits are:
- A tax deduction for the current value of the securities, not the purchase price
- Avoidance of the capital gains taxes
- Reduction of estate taxes
- Satisfaction in investing in SVA’s future
- In the case of annuities or trusts, you and/or your spouse could receive income
for life at a higher rate than the securities are currently paying.
